BISTLAB Hosts Event on Digital Finance Innovations at IBU |

The BISTLAB | Balkan Economy and Finance Laboratory at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, in partnership with the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, successfully organized the event “Transforming Financial Transactions, Enriching Lives.” Through this initiative, we brought together leading professionals from the financial sector to share insights on how emerging technologies are reshaping modern financial systems and expanding access to digital financial services. |

Maarif International School Students Experience University Life at IBU |
|
We had the pleasure of welcoming the English teachers of Maarif International Schools together with two groups of 4th-year high school students to our campus. They were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Igballe Miftari-Fetishi, along with our ELT academic staff.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce students to university life and the academic environment. Throughout the day, students observed various English courses, gaining insight into our teaching methods and classroom dynamics. They also participated in an in house presentation, where we introduced our academic programs, erasmus opportunities, and overall campus experience. |

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, together with our General Secretary, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan Ibrahimi, visited Hafiz Shakir Efendi Fetahu, President of the Islamic Union of North Macedonia.
During the meeting, we discussed opportunities for future collaboration, with a particular focus on cultural heritage and initiatives that can strengthen cooperation between our institutions.

IBU Successfully Completes the Virtual Phase of Its Erasmus+ BIP on Digital Transformation in ELT |
|
The virtual component of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) “Digital Transformation of English Language Teaching: Teaching Vocabulary and Writing in the Age of Digital Tools and AI” was successfully held from 17 to 21 November 2025. Designed by the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Engineering, the program equips current and future EFL educators with the competencies to integrate digital and AI tools in vocabulary and writing instruction, while supporting global priorities in digital transformation, quality education, and sustainable learning practices. |

IBU Explores New Avenues of Collaboration with the Ministry of Culture |

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, visited the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Sedat Sulejmani.
Together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Sümeyye Açıkgöz, Head of Project and Research Office at IBU, emphasized the importance of advancing collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and our academic community.
During the meeting, we discussed opportunities for future joint projects that will promote cultural development, support scientific research initiatives, and enrich the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage through academic programs and educational activities. |
